Nuno is dual qualified in Mozambique and Portugal and is a managing associate in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice. He is also head of the firm's Mozambique practice and serves as managing partner at NMP Advogados - PLMJ Colab Mozambique. Nuno has developed expertise in projects and financings in the Mozambican and Portuguese markets.

With more than 10 years' experience, his practice spans project finance and project development transactions, particularly in the energy sector, including oil and gas, LNG, and the energy transition, as well as natural resources and infrastructure. He advises on projects ranging from greenfield developments to secondary market transactions.  

Nuno has extensive cross-border experience acting for sponsors, borrowers, commercial banks, and multilateral and bilateral development finance institutions in relation to strategic joint ventures, project management, financing structures and products, including structured finance, direct lending, asset finance, corporate lending, and trade and export finance. He has developed specific expertise in project finance and structuring on the voluntary carbon market, as well as in the regulatory frameworks applicable to carbon credit projects and nature-based solutions. Nuno is also a regular speaker at conferences on blue carbon, climate finance, and carbon markets.

Nuno holds a law degree from NOVA School of Law, a master's degree in administrative law, specialising in public procurement from Católica Lisbon School of Law, and an LL.M. in international business law from Católica Global School of Law and is admitted to both the Portuguese and Mozambican Bar Associations.

With over five years of experience in the banking and financial sectors, Cleide is a lawyer who specialises in regulatory, foreign exchange, compliance, and anti-money laundering matters.

She graduated from Eduardo Mondlane University with a degree in law and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in legal and business sciences, specialising in employment law, at the University of Coimbra.

She has worked with leading financial institutions and has extensive experience in drafting legal opinions, particularly in the areas of banking, foreign exchange, insurance, and employment law.

She supports clients in financial transactions and cross-border investments in the energy, mining, and industrial sectors. She also drafts, negotiates, and formalises financing and guarantee agreements between Angolan and foreign entities and conducts due diligence audits of financial and non-financial entities.

Her clients include banks, insurance companies, and electronic money institutions, for whom she acts in administrative proceedings brought by the respective regulatory authorities. She also drafts internal AML/CFT compliance policies for Angolan financial entities and provides technical training to bank employees and electronic money institution staff.

She assists clients with the sale and purchase of shareholdings, as well as with their interactions with regulatory and supervisory entities. She focuses on the Bank of Mozambique, the Mozambique Financial Intelligence Office (GIFiM) and the Mozambique Insurance Supervision Institute, dealing with matters relating to foreign exchange, the prevention and combating of money laundering and insurance.

Marla is an associate at NMP Advogados – PLMJ Colab Mozambique, practising in the areas of Corporate M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Acquisition Finance, regularly advising national and international funds and companies on the structuring, negotiation and execution of investment and corporate acquisition transactions. Her experience covers projects in strategic sectors such as infrastructure, energy, technology and communications, with a particular focus on the implementation and monitoring of investment projects. 

She holds a degree from Eduardo Mondlane University and a postgraduate qualification in E-Commerce from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Adriano has a degree in law from the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique (ISCTEM) and a master's degree in corporate and labour law from ISCTE – Lisbon University Institute.

Adriano began his professional career at the 1st Commission of the Assembly of the Republic in Maputo, later joining the team at Orlando da Conceição e Rodrigues Bila – Sociedade de Advogados, where he worked as a legal advisor.
